Multi-face machining
VT platforms support indexed 4+1 machining and a path toward simultaneous 5-axis capability depending on configuration.
Aerospace machining
High material removal, multi-face machining, precision, thermal control, coolant delivery, chip evacuation and tooling depth , brought together in 40-taper, 50-taper, VT and APC Micro Dynamics machine platforms.
Part-driven process capability
Match the machine to the part envelope, feature access, workholding strategy, stock condition, tooling plan and production flow.
VT platforms support indexed 4+1 machining and a path toward simultaneous 5-axis capability depending on configuration.
Dual-pallet APC architecture separates loading from cutting to reduce non-cutting time.
Select speed or torque capability around material, tool diameter, chip volume and cut strategy.

Material removal
Productive roughing depends on the complete cutting system , spindle output, toolholding, machine rigidity, coolant delivery, chip path and magazine readiness.
Materials + taper selection
40 taper dual-contact
High chip volume, lighter cutting loads and thin final geometry.
Higher force concentration, heat at the cut, stable engagement and coolant strategy.
Torque demand, tool-life pressure and process stability under load.
50 taper dual-contact
5-axis options
Use the rotary axes to bring the workpiece to the spindle and reduce reliance on long overhangs, multiple manual refixturings and repeated datuming.

DYPEC thermal compensation
DYPEC is Micro Dynamics' thermal compensation system. It corrects position error caused by thermal changes, and the current MD technical material states a compensation resolution of 0.000004 in.
Precision + measurement
Aerospace machining places value on repeatable machine position, stable long-cycle behavior, controlled rotary positioning and reliable measurement. Micro Dynamics publishes core axis accuracy specifications across the MEGA and TERA range and combines them with DYPEC thermal compensation, optional linear scales and probing support.
Speed + cycle productivity
Cycle performance comes from the combined speed of cutting, positioning, rotary motion, tool exchange and part exchange. The useful measure is how efficiently the complete machine cycle moves from one productive operation to the next.

Coolant + chip control
Base wash, augers, conveyor and CTS options help maintain the cutting zone and manage high chip volumes.
